Today I was sitting on my couch and watching tv and just thinking about the past year and how I wish I would have documented it some more...then I remembered I have this blog! I went back and re-read the 28 posts I have and it was interesting. Life sure is different now. Marriage. It has it's good times and bad times but 6 months into it and I'm still happy i did it, lol.
I really don't wanna go back to school on Monday...breaks are way to nice. Luckily I have a week of review and then finals week and then a 4 day weekend. Not too bad huh? I had so much I planned to do over break and I did nothing.
For NYE Brion and I bought 2 new board games and played them with the Arthurs. Turns out that Monopoly City is really fun and really confusing! Only took about two hours to play a full game so that was neat.
Going to have a date night with the hubby tonight, but I have no clue what we're going to do tonight.
Well, I need to go switch the laundry...blech...write back soon...and hopefully it will be more interesting!

Wow...time sure flies! I've haven't written in here because I've been so incredibly busy with so many things going on.
I sent off my portoflio that I've been working on...just awaiting the results. (Keep your fingers crossed)
Got more wedding stuff done...I have plenty of time but this is hopefully going to eliminate some stress.
First semester of school is over...one more to go!
Overall life is going pretty well!

Surprises!
I went to my portfolio training class, kinda dreading it, but when I got there, I found it very useful and helpful! And I even got a stipend for going - they paid me $50 to sit at a computer and listen to someone for an hour and a half (they even provided snacks!)
Found out another student of mine is preggers, that makes 3...and it's only November. 4 more teaching days until Thanksgiving Break - a 5 day weekend! (Wednesday - Sunday)
Wish some other things were a little different. Don't wanna go into details, but yeah - difficult times are upon us.

Rough Draft of portfolio is done. And actually proof-read. I just need to collect everything and make adjustments. I"m also going to portfolio training next wednesday after school so that should be fun. Just glad to have it done for the most part and posted for sure by thanksgiving.
Today afterschool I went wedding dress shopping! And I found the most perfect dress at a really good price. The third dress I tried on was the dress and I bought it! It comes in January 5th - but it fit perfectly and looks great and I love it. Plus it was in my price range and on sale! Gotta love that!

Well...
I am definately glad the election 2008 is finally over! My goodness gracious. Being able to watch the news in the morning without politcal ads is great...of course there was still plenty of politics lol. I will say two things:
1. I really enjoyed being able to explain the complete election process and electoral voting process to my students. That was neat.
2. Kids were nuts today! Goodness - I have a headache from the day. I don't want to type what all was said and such - but i hope it calms down some!
That being said - I'm off to begin working on my portfolio so that I can be done! I have to type up 3 papers still but that's not too bad - then have them all proof read, do the revisions and turn it in. I anticipate and plan to have it done before Thanksgiving.

...I'm nervous...
Well, Sunday I went to get my eyes tested for the first time ever (except at the BMV but according to the doctor who checked my eyes...that doesn't count). We can all thank Brion for making me go, lol. Honestly, I really didn't want to go for a few reasons 1. I really didn't want glasses; 2. I hate eye drops; 3. I didn't know what to expect But all in all, it wasn't that bad...besides the 4 puffs of air because I move too much and the 4 eye drops to take away my ability to focus and dialation. Overall outcome...I have 20/20 vision but things are a little blurry and I can't seem to focus easily...I should technically wear some glasses but it was such a small perscription that the doctor let me decide if I even wanted them...so I said no! Yea! I have to go back in 2 years though.
Today I conquered a fear of mine...giving blood. I've never given blood even though I've made about 5 attempts, I just never go through with it. But, with Brion by my side I did it! I've always wanted to do it since my Grandpa had to have 3 emergency blood transfusions. The really nice nurse even let Brion sit on the couch next to my table and hold my hand. Funny thing - the average person donates a pint in about 30 minutes, my sister takes about 1 hour...it only took me...a grand total of 7.5 minutes! Lol, it just flowed right out. Overall, not a bad experience. I would do it again.
